What is meditation?

There are many forms of meditation. During meditation you will learn to relax and focus inward in a state of mindfulness. It will help you reduce stress and tension. After a session you will have a feeling of calm aliveness as your mind and body become relaxed and energized.

What is Martial Arts Practice?

Our program offers you several different disciplines from Korea and China. It consists of warm ups, meditation, Qi Gong, self defense practice, classical weapons, and training drills. Safety is stressed during training to avoid injuries. You will work and learn gradually at your own pace under the guidance of a professional instructor.

What is Qi Gong?

Qi refers to breath or vital energy. It is our life force. Gong refers to work, practice, or cultivation. It is an ancient Asian system of exercise that can promote total health of body, mind, and spirit. Qi Gong can improve your immune system, increase circulation, delay aging, cure illnesss, and promote a higher state of consciousness. Qi Gong is similar in many ways to yoga and Tai Chi. It consists of flowing dynamic forms, slow movements and sets as well as meditaion and still postures. It is truly an ancient treasure.

In 2002 Mr. Gauthier started a self defense program called Defensive Tactics Systems to address real world self defense concerns. It was developed for the individual that did not have the time or the desire to learn or invest in martial arts practice. It is a simple and effective discipline. All of the techniques go through a stringent vetting process. They must be easy to use, learn, and retain. This program has been taught to civilians, law enforcement, military, churches, and corporate clients all over the world.
